Wayne O’Brian to Arlene Pearsall, who writes:
Garret,
Greetings to you—whether on the road, in the air, or at home in Helena.
When I was in Helena a few weeks ago, Wayne O’Brien handed me your book, Random Gifts of Art, with orders to pass it on to another stranger.
In your book you stress that we must establish a relationships before giving a new acquaintance a gift. In that process, the recipient is no longer a stranger, but a friend. I found that theme very useful.
I am now in Las Vegas attending Toastmasters International and will pass along your book to a stranger, who, in the process of visiting, is no longer a stranger but a friend.
Thank you for your message. Keep up the good work.
P.S. – July 15 – I gave your book to Karl Merbach, Rapid City, yesterday.
