Book #110

Pat Hennessey is a 90-year-old neighbor who came to our Random Gifts of Art LIVE! show and bought four books. We were out by that point so I delivered them the next day and heard a remarkable story:

Recently Pat drove downtown to attend a fundraiser. As she was parking something happened in the motor and the car started on fire! She got out, the fire department came, the car was hauled away and, apparently unflustered, she went to the fundraiser. Afterwards she was speaking to the governor who asked her what he could do for her. “Nothing, really, but thanks for asking. I’ve got to start walking home before it gets late. My car just burned up.” The governor gave her a ride home.

I just love Montana!
